Important American artist (1915–1991) who was one of the leading figures of the abstract Expressionist movement. Program from the ‘Eight American Painters’ exhibition at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York in 1959, 8.5 x 11. 12 pages. Signed in black ink by Motherwell above the reproduction of his painting ‘The Wedding.’ A few creases, scattered surface wear and scuffing, a bit heavier along the spine, otherwise fine condition.
