DS, one page, 8.25 x 5, November 28, 1884. Receipt for Cassell and Company for the use of Stevenson’s poem, “?‘It Is the Season,’ in their ‘Magazine of Art’ appearing in Part 50, the right to publish it in the subsequent issue of ‘Poems & Pictures’ in book form.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Stevenson. A miffed Stevenson also writes, “No stamp sent in contradiction with the habits of all English publishers. R. L. S.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, a few small notations, one under signature, and a touch of light soiling. RRAuction COA.
