Very nice example of his work. 4 3/8" tall, 6" diameter. Robert L. Morgan was born in California and served in the US Navy during WW II. Afterwards he studied at the School for American Craftsmen at Dartmouth, New Hampshire. He and his wife Dorothy, whom he met at Dartmouth, then established their first pottery in Oregon. They returned to New Hampshire in the 1950's and worked, for a brief period in the early 1960's, in Winter Haven, Florida with ties to the Craft Center. They both exhibited and sold their work through the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, as well as taught pottery making through the League. Robert L. Morgan exhibited at the First Northwest Annual Ceramic Exhibition of 1950 and the Contemporary Crafts and Museum Gallery (CCMG) of Portland, Oregon
