Robert Hughes & Sons, Birmingham, England SxS hammerless shotgun, 12 gauge, 26” barrels marked “sleeved” on the underside flats, measuring (L) Modified, (R) Improved Chokes, blue finish, double triggers, checkered woodstocks with red hard rubber butt pad, #40434 in leather covered lined compartment case with label “C.B. Vaughan, Guns, Rifles, Binoculars, Etc., Specialist in Gun Fitting, 39, Strand, London, W.C.2.”. This gun is inoverall good to very good condition showing the majority of a quality old re-blue to the barrel assembly, nicely engraved receiver and trigger guard, very good to near fine bores, crisp actions, very good markings, barrelsnumbered to this receiver, beautifully grained wood butt stock in overall fine condition, length of pull from front trigger to end of hard rubber butt pad is 14-1/2”. The case is in overall good condition withre-enforced leather corners, scattered scratches and mars from carry and storage, luggage-style grip missing; interior contains cleaning supplies and snap caps.
