Robert Crumb - Original Art Complete Story (1970's). Robert Crumb draws himself as the title character of the four page story, entitled "The Adventures of R. Crumb Himself." The first page is a full splash with Mr. Crumb sitting in his apartment, looking out the window. As he walks down the street, he decides to enter the Nation School of Hard Knocks. When he enters, a nun, a teacher, a cop and a Canadian Mountie gang up on him and beat him up. In the end, he gets his revenge by bombing the place. These pages are very neatly done, and the use of white-out is very limited. Robert Crumb's artwork is amazing throughout this story, and it really conveys his twisted vision. Robert Crumb signed the last panel, and included a note that does a good job of summing up this story, namely, "So I'm a male chauvinist pig...nobody's perfect... - R. Crumb." These pages measure 10" x 13" each, and are in nice shape except that they have had tape on the back at one time. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
