Robert Brown Thomson (Bobby) Rare Full Sig Signed Bat
This bat was signed in blue Sharpie by Robert Brown Thomson, along with the words "I beat the Dodgers with the shot on Oct. 3, 1951." That was the date Thomson hit the game-winning home run in a playoff game against the Dodgers to win the 1951 National League pennant. The hit became known as the "shot heard round the world," and Thomson became an instant celebrity. It is considered rare to find an autograph with his full name, and he ususally signs as "Bobby".
The bat is a 34 inch Rawlings Adirondack "Big Stick" Professional model. It is in mint condition.
Included is a Certificate of Authenticity from Midwest Estate Buyers.
This full name signature bat will be an excellent find for any fan of baseball history.
