Rare Robert Baden Powell autograph letter signed. Composed on South African Constabulary stationery and dated 5 December 1900. Single page letter with writing on front and verso reads in part: ''…I am very sorry that all our (very few) billets for senior officers have been filled up, and I have nothing to offer you that is worth having - as the pay in any case is not very much…Yours truly, Baden Powell.” Measures 8” x 7.5”. Slight adhesive mark to margin from removal from album, else very good condition.
