One of 3,000 limited edition copies (Currey issue A). Inscribed by the author on a special limitation page inserted in front. Twelvemo. 242 pages. Illustrations by Robert Breck. Jacket design by A. J. Donnell. <BR><BR>Publisher's original brick red cloth with gilt titles and rules on the spine. Moderate spotting to the front board, less so on the back board. Internal contents tight and with minimal toning to pages. Copy comes with both dust jacket states, in priority: A. J. Donnell design with red titles, Fantasy Press titles listed on back panel and author biography on rear flap, light shelf wear with light rubbing at head and foot of the spine and extremities; and Donnell illustration in blue and white, titles in white, back panel and flap blank, in pristine condition. This copy in overall very good condition.<BR><BR>The variant dust jacket printed in blue was a later state, not a proof as some have postulated. According to the publisher Lloyd Eshbach, the "variant jacket [was] printed when, at the end of the edition we ran out of dust wrappers.
