16.5" by 26.5" framed. Roark Griffin (late 20th century) was active/lived in United States. Roark Griffin is known for Painting. Born and raised in New Mexico, my creative desire began at a very young age. I could draw dinosaurs before I could write my name. It wasn't until my teenage years that I started observing and sketching birds of prey for the first time. While active in the sport of falconry my family moved west of Cuba, New Mexico where I attended high school. My time was spent hiking and horse back riding the canyons and mesas of the sage covered country, checking raptor nests and flying my hawk. I received a degree with honors in art from Eastern New Mexico University in 1974. I have been passionate about painting our beautiful states landscapes and the raptors which live and migrate here. My home is in Rowe New Mexico. I live in an old house built by a railroad employee in 1906 with historic significants. My studio is next door in an old structure which once housed the Rowe Post Office and general store for 50+ years.
