(Disneyland, 1988) A very rare internal proposal regarding Disneyland's "Rivers of America". During the construction of "Splash Mountain", this internal proposal was prepared and submitted to the Management Intern of the Proposal Review Committee to discuss several desired changes to the areas surrounding the Rivers of America. Understanding that the opening of "Splash Mountain" in July of 1989 would significantly increase guest traffic to the area, this packet suggested changed including: "improve guest flow through Critter Country", "Allow additional clearance space for the Sailing Ship Columbia and Mark Twain to dock in Fowler's Harbor", and primarily "Enhance guest experience by creating the North-West Passage - a nature trail leading to the new canoe location". This fascinating document shows the internal discussions that would take place during periods of park expansion and growth, and provides a great look into the time during the creation of "Splash Mountain". Measuring 11"x9", this 17-page document is in very good condition with minor cover wear from use. The back few pages include diagrams of the discussed land, as well as proposed costs and other great information.
