Early vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 Fox Studios publicity photo, signed in fountain pen “Sincerely, Rita Cansino.” In fine condition, with a few spots of toning and silvering to some of the darker portions. Fox Film signed a teenaged Margarita ‘Rita’ Cansino to a long-term contract following her appearance in ‘Dante’s Inferno.’ She adopted her familiar stage name (which was adapted from her mother’s maiden name) soon after her move to Columbia Pictures in 1937. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Anything signed by Hayworth as Rita Cansino is scarce and highly collectible.
