This is an original authentic Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey "World's Biggest Menagerie" Charging Rhino Canvas Linen Banner from circa 1947. The piece is possibly from the John Nickolas Ringling family estate of the Ringling Brothers Circus in Ringling, Montana. The early original piece shows a fantastic charging Rhino and reads, “Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey - World's Biggest Menagerie – The Greatest Show On Earth (in an earth like artwork)”. The piece also shows the name of the prolific artist, Bill Bailey, one of the finest Circus Poster Litho makers. This is one of the finest large examples of the rare original Charging Rhino Ringling Brother Circus Canvas Banner known to exist with vibrant colors and graphics. John Ringling was the most well-known of the Ringling Brothers and had the town of Ringling, Montana named after him. He was the President of the White Sulphur Springs & Yellowstone Park Railroad. The banner measures 79“H x 117.5“L (with white edge). The piece can be folded down to measure 10.25”x30.75” and 3/8” thick for shipping. The piece is a 9 Sheet Litho Canvas Poster. Very rare to be a litho on canvas as most all of the available pieces were on paper.
