<B>Ridgewood, NY</B></I> - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 618 <B>The Ridgewood NB</B></I> Ch. # (E)9414<BR>A very rare note which is the only specimen from this short lived bank we have ever seen. The Kelly census lists two pieces known from here, but the second note has a serial number which is outside the range of issued examples and may well have been listed in error. This bank operated in the Queens County section of Ridgewood, part of which spills over into neighboring Brooklyn. The note traces its pedigree back to 1980, when it was privately obtained by your cataloguer for his New York City collection, and then was sold by private treaty to join the other Long Island notes which we sold as "The Collection of a Gentleman" in 1998.
