<B>Richmond, VA- Virginia Treasury Note </B></I>$20<B> </B></I>July 1, 1861 Cr. 3<BR> This gorgeous note was one of 36,000 originally issued in 1861, bearing interest and redeemable 12 months after issue. In the latter part of 1863, all but 6,000 had been redeemed.
