<B>Richmond Light Infantry Blues Dress Coatee,</B></I> ca. early twentieth century, dark blue wool with white piping, trim and facings, 39 of an original 40 silver-toned 15mm Virginia State Seal buttons remain. Scattered mothing, aging, and stains. Overall very good condition. The Richmond Light Infantry Blues had a long and impressive legacy of service to the Old Dominion by the time this antiquated coatee was made for ceremonial purposes. A militia unit organized shortly after the American Revolution, the Blues served gallantly from the War of 1812 through the Spanish-American War.
