Richmond Armory percussion carbine, .58 cal., 25” barrel, #NVSN. This C.S. marked carbine is in overall good untouched condition showing a heavy dark patina on all metal surfaces, good action, dark bore, good markings on lock plate including “C.S. Richmond, Va.” and “1864” at the back of the lock plate; the barrel flat at the breech shows V, P and eagle proofs; the two barrel bands and the trigger guard are iron while the butt plate is brass; both sling swivels are present as is the iron ramrod. The wood stock is in overall good condition showing wear, scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage. An out-of-the-attic condition Confederate percussion rifle that was fashioned after the U.S. Models 1855 and 1861 rifled longarms. Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
