Three items: a one page self-contained air mail 1984 ALS from Mary Leakey, 8.5 x 11.75, which reads, in part: “It has never seemed to me that there was any conflict between the bible and evolution as we are beginning to understand it…My husband always felt the same, in spite of the fact he had a strict Church of England upbringing.”; an FDC with a cachet honoring the 50th anniversary of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, signed in blue ballpoint, “M. D. Leakey”; and a felt tip signature of Richard Leakey on a white 5 x 3 card, with typed collector’s information. In fine condition, with wrinkling and creasing to letter.
