<B>Richard Rush Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> “<I>Richard Rush</B></I>”. Two pages, 4.25” x 6.75”, August 24, 1822, to the “<I>Rev'd Woods</B></I>”. Richard Rush (1780-1859) served as Attorney General under President James Madison and Secretary of the Treasury under President John Quincy Adams. In this 1822 dated letter Rush invites the Rev. Woods to a family dinner. The letter has been tipped on to a paper backing sheet at the left margin.
