Richard Rush ALS & Clipped Signature
Richard Rush Autograph Letter Signed “Richard Rush”. One page, 5.25” x 7.5”, mounted to a backing sheet, Sydenham (near Philadelphia), January 25, 1855. An interesting letter written in reply to an early autograph collector's request seeking an autograph of Richard Rush's father, Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. It reads in part: “The lapse of time since his decease, and the many similar applications made to me, have exhausted the stock of his signatures once at my disposal…”. The letter has been pieced together and mounted on a backing sheet. There is a large stain present at the upper right corner and light foxing throughout, else good condition. The letter is sold with a clipped Richard Rush signature mounted on a backing sheet, in very good condition. Ex. Henry E. Luhrs Collection.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
