TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, July 13, 1984. The former president thanks a pastor for his well-wishes. In full: “This is just a note to tell you how much Mrs. Nixon appreciated your note. She has returned home from the hospital and is recuperating nicely from her bout with a lung infection. She joins me in sending our warm regards.” In fine condition, with a faint strip of toning along the bottom edge. The lung infection was one of two suffered by the former first lady that year, and followed a 1983 stroke.
