TLS as president, signed “RN,” one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, March 18, 1974. Letter to celebrity astrologist Jeane Dixon, in part: "It is always good to receive words of encouragement from friends… I appreciated your inspiring message and the copy of the 23rd Psalm…I hope you will continue to include me, and all the members of this Administration, in your positive thoughts and in your prayers in the days ahead…personal regards to you and Jimmy." In fine condition, with some light creases.

This letter was doubtlessly written in response to one of support by Dixon during the difficult Watergate scandal. Two weeks earlier, on March 4, 1974, seven of Nixon’s former presidential aides (Haldeman, Erlichman, Mitchell, etc.) were formally indicted. Nixon was listed as a co-conspirator. The same day Nixon signed this letter, Judge John Sirica ordered the grand jury's sealed report to be sent to the House Committee on the Judiciary. Nixon resigned less than five months later.
