TLS, one page, 3.5 x 8.5, United States Senate letterhead, December 18, 1956. Letter to Mr. Norton. In full: “Just learned that you had decided to become a Republican. We are very glad to welcome you to our Party. To show our appreciation I am enclosing a picture of The President.” In fine condition, with horizontal fold near top and a small hole to a single letter of text. A welcoming letter, interestingly written on Senate letterhead, even though Nixon had been serving as vice president for three years.
