Signed book: The Memoirs of Richard Nixon. First edition. NY: Grossett & Dunlap, 1978. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6.75 x 9.5, 1120 pages. Signed and inscribed in black felt tip on the half-title page, “To Roger Stanley, With appreciation and best wishes from Richard Nixon.” In fine condition, with bumps to the head and heel of the spine; the dustjacket rates very good with creasing, scattered small tears, edge toning, and a clipped price corner. Stanley, an Illinois state legislator during Nixon’s years in office, was indicted in 2002 for bribing a state official, money-laundering, and mail fraud.
