Richard Nixon autograph letter signed dated 9 September 1987. Nixon pens a letter to Russ Braley, Nixon researcher and author of ''Bad News: The Foreign Policy of the New York Times.'' Letter reads in full, ''Dear Russ, Many thanks for your thoughtful letter. I am pleased that a black columnist wrote so generously with regard to my civil rights activities. I do not recall having met Ober; your questions and his more committed [?] replies raise interesting questions. I will be very interested in your follow up. With warm regards / RN. / Bad News should be must reading for those who want an objective account of those times.'' Letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5'' on Nixon's personal New York City stationery.
