Richard Haas (1936- ) grew up in Spring Green Wisconsin, where Frank Lloyd Wright lived and worked. He was influenced by the architect early on, and began drawing. He attended the University of Milwaukee and received his B.S. degree in 1958, and his M.F.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1964. He has taught on and off for many years. He has since become known as an artist of architecture, both past and present. His work has appeared in numerous solo shows in the U.S. and abroad, and is housed in many public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada, the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and the New York Public Library. *
