Poet and librarian (1835–1906) who was the keeper of printed books in the British Museum. Original crystal-clear 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by Maull and Fox of London, signed in the lower border in black ink, “R. Garnett.” In fine condition, with light hand-drawn border around image, light toning over signature, and mounting remnants to reverse.
