Richard Dix's screen-worn coat from his starring role as Sam Houston in the 1939 Western film Man of Conquest, a biopic of Houston focusing on his relationship with Andrew Jackson and his role during the Texas Revolution. The long navy blue coat features two golden buttons on the front, with black-and-gold ribbons on the cuffs. The interior is lined in green satin, with a Western Costume Co. tag sewn in the back, annotated in ink: "No. 23413 #13, Name: Richard Dix, Chest: 44, Le Fevre." In fine condition.
