Dated 20 September 1947, letter reads in part: “…I am sending…an advanced…copy of my National Geographic…article on our last Expedition…what a task it was to write…25,000 words…I recently had a flare-up from the injury I got during the war…” Handwritten note reads: “Have just remembered that I owe you a small amount which I will pay next letter.” Measures 8.5” x 11”. Crease to bottom right corner and light wrinkling, else very good.
