Revolutionary War era flintlock single shot pistol, un-marked, but British style, .70 cal., 9” barrel (shortened during use), brass trigger guard, reverse side plate, butt cap, ramrod ferrule and backstrap escutcheon, wood stock withwood ramrod and flared brass tip. This gun is in overall fair to good condition showing a grey patina to metal surfaces with scattered pinprick pitting, good action, dark bore, pleasing patina to brass, wood stock shows scattered mars anddings from carry and storage plus a number of scattered repaired cracks, some use of old filler on the inner right side of the butt at the base and some openness between the lock plate and wood at the rear area; still an early flintlock with acrown over V proof on the center of the barrel adjacent to the touch hole.
