Revolutionary War era Scottish flintlock pistol with brass stock, heart shaped butt, British proofed but unmarked as to maker, in untouched original condition with dark patina finish. The pistol is .58 cal. smooth bore, with 7-1/2" barrel, 12" overall. The lock, barrel and trigger show a deep patina with scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion and no cleaning whatsoever. The stock shows a deep patina and 2 holes forbelt hook, which is missing. A rammer with matching patina of correct style and era is included. This pistol is in its original flintlock configuration with all correct parts. Scottish regiments served withdistinction during the American Revolution and just this type pistol was used by those forces. Est.: $2,000-$4,000
