<B>Revolutionary War Era Handwritten Journal</B></I> consisting of approximately twelve pages written (plus blanks), 4.25" x 6.75", removed apparently from a larger bound volume. The neatly penned entries range in date from 1778 to 1781 and include notations regarding payments for rent, servants, clothing, and various foodstuffs. Interestingly, the monetary units mentioned are both pounds and continental dollars. One entry from July 19 mentions, "<I>Sam Return'd from Genl. Thomson</B></I>", possibly a reference to Continental Army General William Thompson.
