<Our item number 120205><B>Revolutionary War Era, British/American Assembled Flintlock Musket. United States, c. 1770-1780.</B> The nicely crafted Service Contract musket with 39&#34; round smoothbore barrel, and steel bead sight. Early British arsenal proof marks on barrel. The 1770&#39;s pattern lock also with &#34;Tower, Crown over GR &#40;George III&#41;,&#34; and stamped &#34;CROWN over BROAD ARROW.&#34; The cock is an old replacement. This musket was most likely restocked, or built from parts in the American Colonies. It conforms to the Committee of Safety style. The wood stock shows normal moderate wear and use, and is overall sound, with good eye appeal. Musket is dressed in both steel and brass regulation furniture, along with steel rod, shoulder sling hardware. Length: 55-3/4&#34;.
