<B>Revolutionary War-Dated Document Selling a Slave for 400</B></I> signed by John Vanderin. One page, 7.75" x 5.25", np [Pennsylvania], November 29, 1778. It reads, in full: "<I>Recd. this 29 day of November 1778 of Doctr. Samuel McKenzies the sum of four hundred pounds in full for a Negro man Named Jack being the same Negro that I purchased of Mr. Charles Hurst. I say Recd by me 400. John Vanderin jun.</B></I>" Fine condition with dark, clear writing; tiny hole at fold intersection.
