Three Revolutionary War-dated pay orders from the State of Connecticut, all one page, ranging in size from 7.5 x 3 to 6.5 x 6, dated between 1781 and 1783. The earliest is a manuscript document dated June 9, 1781, issued from the pay table directing Treasure John Lawrence to pay Ralph Pomery three pounds, signed by Finn Wadsworth; the second is a partly printed document from the Treasury Office dated June 1, 1782, affirming that the state owes Gregory Thomas nine pounds, signed below by Lawrence; and the third is a partly printed document from the Pay Table Office, dated April 15, 1783, directing the Wethersfield Committee to paid 20 shillings, signed by Jedediah Huntington, William Moseley, and Finn Wadsworth.
