Exact Reproduction of an 1862 1st Model Hopper-Fed Gatling Gun, .45 cal., six 24'' rifled barrels, brass frame and hardware, manual traverse and mechanical elevation device, on accurate reproduction of 1862 carriage, with complete firing kit of approx. 100 reloadable cylinders. Machinist made in the 1980s in Indiana for Civil War reenactment. Only two are known to have been produced. Carriage is painted standard caisson green, 48'' dia. 16-spoke wheels, with iron external bands and hubs. Side of trunnions are marked ''Model 1862'' and ''G. Scott 05''. Condition is excellent showing only little use, with minor separation to steel banded wheels and to upper flat portion of wooden pintle mount. Est.: $18,000-$24,000. (Antique)
