Roosevelt: End of U.S. Occupation.</B></I> A printed document with signature of Theodore Roosevelt in facsimile. Two pages (one in English, one in Spanish), 8.5" x 11.75", White House, Washington, May 10, 1902, to the President and Congress of the Republic of Cuba. The official announcement that "On the 20th of this month the Military Governor or Cuba will... transfer to you the control and government of the Island of Cuba..." Rough edges, some foxing, else very good. <B>2). McKinley: Coasting Trade of Cuba Permit.</B></I> One page with docketing on verso, partly printed, 11" x 17", Cabarien Cuba, July 1, 1901. Signed in type by President William McKinley, this permit allows the ship <I>Anita</B></I>, owned by Jose Gruart Ruzi, to engage in the coasting trade of Cuba. Generally toned, folds, overall very good. <B>3). Palma: Presidential Decree.</B></I> Two pages manuscript (one leaf), 7.5" x 10", Presidential Palace, June 9, 1905, in Spanish. The first president of the Republic signs "<I>T. Estrada Palma</B></I>." Three others have countersigned. Fine. <B>4). Bru: Typed Letter Signed.</B></I> One page, 8.5" x 11", February 2, 1938, in reply to an autograph request, he signs "<I>Frederico Laredo</B></I>".
