This piece, long held in the Kansas City collection, is new to the Kelly census, which had previously listed only fourteen large size fifties from all banks in the state combined. It is a solid example with bright colors, even wear, bold clear signatures, and plenty of eye appeal. The last high denomination example from this state to be offered at public sale was a Very Fine $50 from this bank which we sold two years ago for $32,200.
