Remington model 1871 rolling block single-shot pistol, US martially marked, .50 caliber centerfire, blue and case hardened finish, cartouche wood grips, interior number 3684. The barrel shows 85-95% originalmilitary blue finish, some slight losses at the edges and some just beginning normal age. The frame, triggerguard and backstraps show 90-95% original case hardening just starting to tone and age slightly with mostly visiblerainbow colors that are still fairly bright. The action and hammer show original bright and straw finish as do the frame bolts, the screws and trigger show bright original blue. The stocks are fine to near excellent with a couple of minor marks and storage bruises. Show a razor sharp “CRS” cartouche on left side with just some minor edge wear. The action is crisp, the bore is excellent. Est: $3,000 - $6,000
