Remington model 1858 New Model Army, .44 caliber percussion, US martially marked, blued finish, cartouche wood grips, serial #74406. The pistol remains in fien to excellent original condition showing 85-95%original blue, some slight flaking on the rammer, top of frame, and straps. The areas where the blue has lifted have gone to a natural light browning patina. The barrel address is sharp and crisp. The hammer showsvirtually all of its muted case hardening. The trigger and small parts show its original finish. The grips are also near fine with a few storage marks, bumps, and show a fully visible “B.H.” cartouche on left grip, andfull inspections on other parts by “A”, “R”, “H”, and “S”. The interior shows little to no use with bright bore. A 9.7-9.8 on 1-10 scale. Est: $4,000 - $8,000
