Remington U.S. Maynard type Primed conversion of Model 1840 musket, .69 cal., 42” barrel, full length wood stock, sling swivels, with bayonet, takedown tool and ball removal lead ball removal “worm”. This conversion is in overall very good condition showing a mixture of its original bright finish to the barrel and scattered brown patina, P proof and LS inspection on left side of barrel at breech with NJ stamp in same area (New Jersey); brown patina on lockplate (screw that secures primer door missing); good action, dark bore, iron ramrod, sling swivels, full length wood stock in overall good to very good condition with good inspector’s cartouche on left side of stock above trigger; condition of bayonet matches dark patina of barrel bands and is US marked.
