Remington-Smoot New Model No. 1 revolver, .30RF short cal., 2-13/16” octagon barrel, nickel finish, early production revolving recoil shield, checkered hard rubber grips, #237 in overall fair to good condition showing considerable originalfinish, pitting on both sides frame and areas of erosion on the cylinder, crisp action, good markings, and grips, dark bore, ejector rod broken off and missing; per Fladerman’s, revolving recoil shield variation is scarce with onlyapprox. 650 manufactured circa 1875; with modern leather clip holster.
