Remington Rolling block Navy carbine, .50 caliber, blue and case hardened finish. Frame shows “P” inspection, initials “FCW” and anchor on right side. The tang shows Remington address and last patent date“1868”. The carbine retains 80-90% dull original military type finish with some scratches, minor toning, just beginning normal age. The frame shows 75-85% case hardening just toning slightly and beginningto drift. The buttplate shows 30-50% mottled case hardening. Bore excellent. The forend band shows spring release and “U” proof. The stocks are very good with one notch cut behind the tang at the top of the stock, some minor mars, scratches, dings, but generally at least V.G. plus overall. 23-1/4” barrel, standard military type front and rear sights.
