Remington Rolling Block rifle, extensively period scroll engraved in the New York style, possibly by the shop of L.D. Nimschke, blue and nickel finish that likely were applied at the time of the engraving, .50 cal., 35”round barrel, deluxe select wood stocks, three barrel bands, sling swivels and cleaning rod; collection or museum brass ID tag attached to trigger guard “200”. This gun is in overall fine condition showingextensive engraving to the receiver, both ends of the barrel, hammer, rolling block, butt plate, rear sight base, barrel bands, trigger guard and even to the rear sling swivel base; fine bore, crisp action, sharppatent markings on top tang; wood is overall very good to fine with some scattered old mars and scratches from storage, beautiful flame graining to the butt stock; one of the most extensively engraved Rolling Blockrifles we have seen in some time.
