Blue and case colored finish. Saddle ring. Straight grained American walnut stocks. Sling rings on right side bbl band and butt stock. Bbl has original carbine sights. Bbl is marked in front of band with a 5-pointed proof mark in front of a “7MM-SM”. Bbl is also marked “7MM-S.M.” under handguard. Handguard is missing. Receiver has the Mexican crest on top ring. Remington address on upper tang and SN on lower tang. Saddle ring is missing. Stock is carved with a monogram “AG” on left side toward butt. Steel buttplate is unmarked. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good for this type of arm as most guns shipped to Mexico show extremely hard use. Bbl retains a gray-brown patina overall with sharp markings. Sights are very good and correct for this model. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver is a blue-brown patina, ring has a sharp Mexican crest. Tang markings are sharp with some battering around SN. Stocks are good for this model with heavy battering and bruising overall and a repair to the wrist. Monogram is clear. Forestock is missing a large piece in front of bbl band. An opportunity to obtain an orig Remington carbine used during period of the Mexican Revolution.
