Remington No. 1 Rolling Block Sporting rifle, .50 cal., 32” heavy octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, flip-up adjustable rear sight with an old U.S. silver coin front sight dated 1842, serial number3619. This very desirable gun is in overall very good condition showing scattered traces of original blue finish on barrel that has gone mostly to a plum blue color, some scattered spots of erosion; nothing serious,fine bore, crisp action, receiver has gone to a frosty silver toning with some pin prick pitting; stocks are overall very good showing even wear and some scattered old mars from carry and storage; a very desirable Sportingrifle in .50 caliber.
