Remington New Model Police revolver, .36 cal., 3-1/2” octagon barrel, blue finish, wood grips, #14692 in overall very good to near fine condition showing the majority of its original finish on the barrel and rammer; cylinder shows originalblue mixed with touch up older coating of cold blue; frame has gone to a grey/brown patina; crisp action, good bore with a couple spots of pitting; near fine grips, traces of original silver remaining on brass trigger guard; sharpbarrel address with front sight covering the first three letters of Remington. The gun is accompanied by a beautifully restored wood partitioned and lined casing with an extra .38RF cylinder #90 (no other accessories); perFlayderman’s only approx. 18,000 of this Model was produced between 1865 and 1873, designed to compete with the Colt 1862 Police and Pocket Navy revolvers.
