Remington New Model Pocket Cartridge Conversion Spur Trigger Revolver, #23499, .32 RF cal., 5-shot two-piece cylinder, 3.5" octagon barrel, nickel finish, smooth rosewood two-piece grips, half-moon blade front sight, and notched rear sight. Top of the barrel is marked in three-lines "PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858. MARCH 17, 1865/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, NEW YORK U S A/NEW MODEL". Matching numbers on left side of the grip frame, underside of the barrel, and in pencil on the back of both grips. Both pieces of the cylinder are numbered "1030". This revolver is in overall fine condition, displaying approx. 85% nickel finish, with intermittent spots of light pitting/erosion. Factory markings are clear. Grips are also fine overall, with pleasing grain patterns, moderate handling marks, and majority of the rich oil finish remaining. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore with mild rust and some spots of erosion, rifling is very good. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique) (Michael Strietbeck Collection)
