Remington New Model Navy Cartridge Conversion Single Action Revolver, #23920, .38 cal., 7-3/8" barrel, gray with brass trigger guard, smooth hardwood two-piece walnut grips, dovetailed small silver cone front sight, with "V"-notched groove in the rear of the top strap. Missing the ejector assembly. With three-line "New Model" barrel address that is only partially visible. With a clear, small "(anchor)" stamped on the top barrel flat, near the frame. Matching visible numbers on left side of the grip frame and underside of the barrel. Additionally, the number "18" is stamped on both the barrel and grip frame, near the serial number. There is something scratched into the left side of the grip frame, looks like "ALLEA?". Right side with "JAB" or perhaps "JAR". Overall condition is fair, metal is mostly gray with spots of cloudy dark patina, light pitting, and erosion. Brass remains uncleaned. Grips are sound, showing general dents and scratches, with several notches carved into the bottom edge of the left panel; small chip missing from the lower back corner on the right panel. Action is strong and cycles smoothly. Bore with moderate+ erosion scattered throughout, rifling is still clearly defined and rates good overall. Est.: $1,000-$1,500.
