Semiautomatic rifle manufactured circa 1919. Features blued finish, wood forend & straight grip butt, semi crescent steel buttplate, 22" barrel, buckhorn style sights on barrel jacket, Redfield rear peep sight attached to receiver rear, fixed magazine, manual safety. Rifle can be taken down into two halves for storage or transport. Bore is fair condition, dark with strong rifling. Original blue is mostly a thinning brown or yellowish color, with patina forming at tang and some bare metal on sharp edges. Barrel jacket is straight, with no observed dents. Rear sight screws have badly marred slots, base and elevator slide are loose. Left side of receiver has several wide, shallow dents or hammer marks. Wood is good condition, dented & scratched, discolored in spots, with mostly good fit to metal. Includes approx 100 rounds (20 factory loaded, 80 reloaded in formed cases) of 25 Rem ammunition (plus 3 pieces of brass) in ammo can, plus a rare loader (stripper clip) for this rifle.
