'The Speedmaster,' an American made vintage tube-fed semi-automatic sporting rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, manufactured circa 1936 ('RE' date code) in Ilion, NY. The barrel is marked "22 LONG RIFLE ONLY - SMOKELESS - GREASED". It features a blued finish, an approximately 24" take-down barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, adjustable rear sporting sight, smooth curved case hardened trigger, push button safety, smooth walnut beavertail forend, semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with loading port and checkered metal buttplate. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Rifle retains less than 10% of its original blued finish with general fading, edge wear, and the finish turning a brown patina. Barrel stamped number "20952" matching the receiver serial number. Wood furniture is fair with minor scratches, dings, thinning finish on the forend, and patches of missing finish scattered around the buttstock. This rifle includes a Weaver side receiver mount, Weaver rings, and a Weaver K3-1 fixed three power scope with a duplex reticle.
